THE BRAND

PROSJEKT BRYNJA's brand aesthetic is bold and art like. Durita Jógvansdóttir Thomsen, brand creator, always begins her creative process from a mindset of curiosity and openness. She finds texturous fabrics, abstract prints and patterns specially intruiging and always seeks to put together contrasting elements in her designs and styling to create compelling garments or outfit combinations that are comfortable to wear.
Her way of sustainable production is through sourcing yarn locally made from local sheep wool for both small-scale production abroad, though nearby the Faroe Islands, and locally handknitted pieces. The aim is to revive the awareness and love for the faroese wool, as it used to be a very important part of everyday life on the islands in the past.
The faroese wool is a very durable, warm and water repellent material and thereby excellent for coats and jackets to wear on cold and rainy days, which is what the brand mainly focuses on.
PROSJEKT BRYNJA aspires to stir up the feeling of self-confidence to follow your intuition and wear what makes you feel your best!
